Bkaot - is unique in that almost all of the sons and daughters of the member families have returned to the moshav and are integrating themselves in the area.
Gilgal - is a kibbutz named for the site where Joshua first entered the Land of Israel and has a modern printing factory, grass nursery and aquarium ornamental fish.
Gitit - is situated 6 kms north of the village of Maale Efraim. The 30 families living in the moshav are very interested in adding new families to their community.
Massua - gets its name from the torches lit on the nearby SARTABA hill during the Second Temple period to announce the sighting of a new moon. The settlement began as a military outpost in 1969.
Hamra - was the first settlement established in the hills overlooking the Jordan Valley. Many of the young men and women born on the moshav have returned to settle there after their army service.
Mechora - on the #508 road is about twenty minutes from the regional council and is interested in entreprenurial opportunities aimed to help develop the community.
Naama - founded in 1982 is the southernmost community, adjacent to Jericho and is only a 40 minute drive to Jerusalem. In addition to the hot house crops the moshav operates a northern Dead Sea beach.
Naaran - is a member of the kibbutz movement with one of the Jordan Valley's most successful factories, P.V. Ran , manufacturers of plastic wrap and PVC
Netiv Hagdud - is actively planning a housing project that will attract young families interested in meeting the challenges of the Jordan Valley and combine a warm community with a quality life style.
Pazael - is one of the oldest communities with 60 members who are primarily farmers. They are successful in making agriculture a viable source of income and have also made their crocodile farm a must see tourist attraction.
Roi - is both 25 minutes from Beit Shean and 25 minutes from the Jordan Valley and its members combine farming with other jobs in one of the two areas.
Tomer - a large successful farming community is earmarked for expansion and development. With almost 60 families they hope to add forty homes in the next few years.
Yaffit - located in the center of the valley on the #90 road was established by a group of families who came to Israel from France in order to help the desert bloom.Alongside the farms the moshav also runs the restaurant, gas station and kiosk at Mifgash Habikaa..
Yitav - was recently settled by a group of young people who came to Israel from the former Soviet Union and have adapted to the challenge of creating a new life in a different country.
The only three modern orthodox settlements in the Jordan Valley
are in the northernmost region.
Hemdat - is a new religious "Yishuv Kehilati" who are looking for young couples interested in the challenge of building a community from the roots.
Kfar Mechola - was the first settlement established after the 1967 Six Day War and has over 60 families now.
Shadmot Mechola - a cooperative settlement, has a tourism center, Judaic Studies college, Hesder Yeshiva and plans to expand to at least 100 families in the near future.
